AWARE Project 2017

Protecting the Rights of Women and Girls

For over four years, SPRF, with funding from the Foundation for Civil Society (FCS), has been implementing the AWARE Project in Ikungi District, Singida. This project focuses on:
Combating female genital mutilation (FGM), child marriages, and teenage pregnancies
Raising awareness in communities about women’s and girls’ rights
Collaborating with government officials and civil society organizations to fight harmful cultural practices

This initiative supports 100 women in Singida

Through economic empowerment programs. The project is locally funded through community contributions and aims to:

Support women in starting or expanding small businesses
